Virginia's First Rural Brewery
Blue Mountain Brewery is a craft brewery and restaurant located at the junction of Route 151 and 250 (aka Rockfish Gap Turnpike). The brewery was founded in 2007 by a husband-and-wife team and has since grown to become one of the most popular breweries in the region.
With a spectacular vista of the Blue Ridge just across the road and a relaxed, family-friendly vibe, Blue Mountain Brewery is a popular destination for both locals and tourists. The brewery's restaurant serves a range of food, including wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and entrees, and special events are often held on the grounds. Whether you're a beer enthusiast or simply looking for a great meal in a scenic setting, it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
Drinks
Blue Mountain Brewery offers a wide variety of beers, with over a dozen different styles available on tap at any given time. The top three most popular beers are Full Nelson Pale Ale, Kölsch 151, and Dark Hollow Imperial Stout. In addition to their flagship beers, Blue Mountain Brewery also produces a number of seasonal and limited-edition brews.
They offer flights as well as innovative takes on the beers, such as the Dark Hollow Float—yes, that's right—delicious vanilla ice cream plopped into bourbon barrel-aged stout!
Menu
The menu offers a wide variety of food options, including kids' offerings, gluten-free meals, desserts, and their popular wood-fired pizzas. Takeout is available via online ordering. For traditional American pub fare, go for Loaded Waffle Fries ($14), Wings ($10), and Burgers ($16).
The salads are generously portioned—try the Mango Berry Kale Bowl ($14). Many locals visit Blue Mountain on weeknights just for the pizza ($16-26). One uncommon variety is the Date Night Pizza, which includes dates and prosciutto. A gluten-free crust is available on any wood-fired pizza.
