Brewing Tree Beer Company, Crafting Sustainable, Community-Driven Brews. Nestled in the picturesque Rockfish Valley, Brewing Tree Beer Company has carved out a unique niche in the Afton beer landscape by strongly emphasizing sustainability and community engagement. Founded in 2015, this family-owned brewery is committed to using locally sourced ingredients, including hops and grains grown on its own farm, to create a lineup of beers that are not only delicious but also reflect the region's rich agricultural heritage.

Brewing Tree offers such a variety of activities and victuals, it might be impossible to name them all. A dog and child-friendly bucolic beer paradise awaits you at Brewing Tree. The owners, Gina and Mark Thompson are, respectively, sommelier/chef and a local brewer of some repute (he was a founder of the wildly successful Starr Hill Brewery). The couple opened this brewery to provide a relaxed and inclusive environment where local flavor can thrive. Enjoy the natural feel of central Virginia; catch some live music, chill out in a hammock, or wade in the river, but leave your fancy shoes at home.
Drinks
A rotating selection of craft beers, some experimental or fruit-flavored, is on tap both in the tasting room and the river bar (open on weather-appropriate weekends). Flights are generously poured and served in hand-burned oak trays or similar crafted sets. Try the Philinda Vienna lager or the Sunshine Golden ale before moving on to a hard slushie or Pilsner-based Bloody Mary.

A permanent food truck resides on the premises, offering everything from kids’ cheeseburgers ($8) to pork belly tacos ($14). Ice cream is often on the summer menu as an added bonus for the kids.
