Savor the Flavor: Where Wine and Views Blend Perfectly
Started in 2016 by a group of friends looking for an investment opportunity in Virginia’s wine industry, VRV seems to continually expand its offerings. With 17 acres of thriving vines, two wedding locations on site, an ample tasting room, and a large outdoor seating area, it offers much to wine tourists. Located at the very start of 151’s north end, it is a perfect start to an afternoon of wineries. As an added bonus, it is a family-friendly and relaxed environment.
Drinks
Nothing beats the Mountain Glen Rose ($23) on a hot summer day. Sit on the patio and take in the striking vista of the Blue Ridge while you sip. Celebrating the start of something special? Take advantage of Valley Road’s Sparkling Viognier ($40), a brilliant take on Virginia’s state grape. The best wine to take home for later is the popular Torn Curtain 2021 blend ($28), a sumptuous amalgam of the area’s most velvety reds.
